Alex and I met at work at Brigham Young University in the Harris Fine Arts Center in the Fall of 2010. I picked him out as the 'cute co-worker' my first day, but it took Alex a few weeks to notice me. However, he was the one to reach out first in our University Chorale class. Through a combination of work and choir we became friends, then dated for 18 months, were engaged for nine weeks, and were married in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on July 26, 2012.
I'm a proud Brigham Young University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders and a minor in Family Life. I also have my master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Utah and now work as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. I love to read for fun, and am always open to a good book suggestion. I like to try my hand at craftiness and the domestic life, I enjoy hiking in the beautiful Utah mountains, and I love to travel. I have a goal to visit all 50 states and 6 of the 7 continents (not really interested in Antarctica). So far I've been to 36 of 50 states, but....only 1 continent.
Alex is a Brigham Young University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has a great job working for his dream company and hopes to go to graduate school for his MBA or a master's in engineering. I basically married a genius. Alex loves to read just as much as I do (the number of books we own is ridiculous). He also enjoys singing Barbershop, shooting his guns any chance he gets, and he always has a project or two up his sleeve-he is currently building a canoe!
We're also members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons).
Thanks for stopping by, and happy reading!
